Set of Chicago Cutlery Knives

 Tidbit Tips:

Remove odors from hands:    Use soap and rub on stainless steel.  If you don’t have a stainless steel sink you can buy bars of stainless steel.

Boiling Eggs:  Place eggs in pot with cold water.  If the eggs sink they are fresh, if they float they are old and you should throw them out.  Bring the water and eggs to a boil. When they are boiling add 1 tablespoon salt (this makes them easier to peel).  Do not add salt till water is boiling or the salt will pit your pot.  Boil for 10 minutes.  Pour off the hot water and run cold water over the eggs for several minutes.  Drain and store in refrigerator.

Cleaning up dishes used with flour:  Always use cold water.  Remember when you were a kid and made paste out of flour and how sticky it was.  This will happen to the flour on your dishes if you use hot water so always clean up with cold water.

Save the Blades on your Knives:  When using your knife to scrape chopped food off of your chopping board be sure to scrape with the non-cutting side.  This will protect your blade and keep it sharper longer.
